How to have a healthy skin

Everyone wants to know how to have healthy looking skin and it is just a matter of eating the right food and having healthier habits and lifestyle. It also depends on the type of your skin. This is important because your skin says alot about your health and may be about your personality. It is also an important part of your beauty.

You may already know some of the tips to have a healthier skin like having enough sleep during the night and drinking enough water. About 7-8 glasses of water per day is good enough to keep your skin well hydrated. This is important for the vitality of the skin.

Avoid smoking! I'm sure you already know this one but of course, I had to say it. Together with its other dangerous effects on your body, the effect of smoking is reflected badly on your skin and will make it age earlier.

Eat enough proteins (meat, chicken, eggs milk), fresh fruits and vegetable and less fatty and sugary foods. Don't forget essential fatty acids which are present inĀ  flaxeed oil or walnut (can be used as salad dresings), salmon and sardines.

  • Cleanse your skin often. Use plain water or you can add soup. Deep cleaning is important for the oily skin to remove dirt and skin debris. You can also use a cleansing product and more preferrably a natural one. Blackheads are more likely to occur in oily skin that is not cleaned often. Don't over-do it and turn it into an obsession!
  • Avoid so much candies, chocolate and fat. Again, make sure to have enough vitamins and inerals by eating fruits and vegetables, fish and eggs as well as 6-8 glasses of water daily.
  • A lotion would be a good idea and face mask for cleansing every week or so.

Tips for the dry skin:

  • As for the dry skin, it is important to avoid washing the face with soap alot. plain water is enough in case od fry skin and a moisturizing cream can be of great help, too! Apply the moisturizing skin after showers or handwashing.
  • Some people may also advice you to use milk on the face using a piece of cotton.
  • To get the best results from moisturizers, exfoliate your skin every week or so with a face mask for nutrition of your skin.
  • People with dry skin may also have a slow circulation, you may consider excercising a little or at least, don't spend hours setting in the same place doing nothing, go outside and move yor body. Massage your skin every morning.

Combined skin health tips:

This is a mixed type of skin where some parts are oily and other parts are drier than the rest. Wash and clean your face and wait for about an hour. Now watch for the glowing parts (oily) or use a tissue. Put it on each part of your face for a few seconds and check it for oil-like staining specially on the nose and chin.

Use a moisturizer for the other parts (dry) and make sure to follow the general rules in eating healthy food and getting enough water and fluids. Avoid getting over hydrated.

Tips for a healthy sensitive skin:

Easily to get inflammed and very vulnerable and afected by the external environment. Try to follow these tips for sensitive skin care:

  • Avoid excess cofffee and tea.
  • Avoid hot water. Use lukewarm water and a good soap. Avoid the types that irritates your skin (fragranced soaps should be avoided as possible)
  • When dring your skin, just use gentle pressure with the towel and avoid rubbing it.
  • Use a moisturizing cream and try to avoid.
  • Massaging your skin: This is important for all skin types. The massage should be in a circular manner and without over stretching of the skin. A Skin massage only takes a few minutes and it helps improve the blood supply and prevent early wrinkling of the skin. A natural oil or a moisturing cream can be used in the massage, too.
